K.O.A. I always find it tough to decide what my favourite tracks are by this master of original sound, but I can say that this album blows me away every time, the effortless flow with which it soothes my soul from start to finish is hard to describe. The best thing to do is just get it. I have most of Steve’s work today so am lucky to share my feelings on the work. I bought the beautiful silver gold cds in this delight & the moment I popped on the silver number I was transported again to the cobbyver

about

"Everliving is a revelation, even by Cobby standards. This isn’t about disco dancing or filling floors, although in parts Everliving could easily do both. This is about the intricate skilled flights of one of the UK’s most gifted composers and it deserves your undivided ear time. The man is some sort of genius. The best sort. One that doesn’t even know it.” - Neil Mason / Electronic Sound Magazine

"Had a fully immersive listen to the new LP again on headphones today. I'm honestly lost for words. Un fucking registrably good. Beautiful work sir - possibly some of your finest to my ears and that really is saying something as I cherish How About Some Ether and Fila albums very dearly". - DJ Shepdog, Nice Up

"Too beautiful, Steve. It will do wonders." - Harold Budd

"Just playing my boy's new album..Amazing as always" - Darren Emerson

"Imbued and enriched with a musicality so often absent from modern developments, this is a truly magnificent body of work.”- Sean Johnston/ALFOS

"Brilliant as always from Steve. A must have!" - Nick Warren

"Phatic Communion is insanely good, class!.....the keyboard on Laniakea had its happiest moment of its life after that solo, and can now swing totally fulfilled into retirement.....or move to Vienna and get lovingly caressed by me....More blessings in forms of heavenly arpeggios on Teleseme.......you could not close this record with a better title than Oneric. ....There are not too many certainties in this world except for that there is never enough wine on the table and that Steve Cobby can not make a bad record. Will listen to this Everywhere & Everywhen. Love from Vienna” - Peter Kruder

"That man Cobby just keeps on delivering the good vibes.
laid back music for your soul. since….ages!” - Michael Rutten, Soulsearching

"After the untimely demise of the Pork Recordings label, one might be saddened to think that there would never again be anything as wonderful as their releases. Until now. Steve Cobby is back, channeling the best of Fila Brazilia and The Solid Doctor but evolving into new sonic ground with "Everliving". I really love this album!!!!"- Rusty Hodge, SomaFM

"This album is really special!!" - Joe Muggs (Q/Wire/Mixmag)

"Masterpiece" - Bobby Beige

Another fabuloso Steve Cobby production flops its way onto my listening device via the wonders of modern techtrickery. I prepare myself for a meander through the latest melancholic beatscapes, off-kilter soul musings and whatever enters the mind of that mega talent from Kingston Upon Hull. The journey doesn’t surprise me….I knew it was gonna be good, just on what scale. Whilst this isn’t as immediate as ‘Saudade’ it’s subtlety is what makes it stand out from the crowd. On first listen, ‘The sirens help me to sleep’ echoes classic Cobby (and his many guises), and is the instant head turner….with repeated listens, each track begins to blend into the next, and it’s then that you realize what is the real star of the show on offer here. It’s the production….the attention to each layer, the drum tech programming and ultimately the liquidity of the percussion. Each triangle hit, hi-hat, and whatever shaker is applied, literally drips out of the speakers. A technique that’s beautifully effective and has me sold from the get go. When you’re on your fifth listen or so, take some advice from Mr Bruce Lee and apply it to your mood…..’ Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.’ - Greg Belson - divine gospel radio show

Have been playing and compiling Fila Brazillia for years. 'Subtle Body' at sunset in ibiza is something I'll never forget . So it's a pleasure to be able to play new material from Mr. Cobby. Fantastic music that I'll be playing everywhere I go ( might even be able to fit in a sunset or two ) - Phil Mison
